While the word “moist” has always made us cringe, in the case of Nothing Bundt Cakes there is no better word to describe these mouthwatering treats. Started by best friends and entrepreneurs Dena Tripp and Debra Shwetz in their own kitchens in Las Vegas over a decade ago, they have grown their business to multiple locations in 12 states! We discovered their store on Montana Avenue in Santa Monica one afternoon while in a pinch to find the perfect dessert to bring to an engagement dinner later that night. The chocolate chocolate chip, white white chocolate, carrot, lemon and red velvet cakes were all met with rave reviews! Although the name does makes us cringe a bit, bundt cakes have now replaced cupcakes as the go-to decadent crowd pleaser dessert. Plus cupcakes are old news! We can’t wait to go back to sample some of their other flavors such as cinnamon swirl, white chocolate raspberry and the flavor of the season.
