Daria has been working as a stylist for over a decade. She divides her time between her two favorite cities: Los Angeles and New York. We’re tagging along with her for a day of shopping in LA….
My first stop is American Rag (150 South La Brea Ave, LA) for fantastic shoes by Rachel Comey, Luxury Rebel, Osborn, 80%20, MM6, Repetto and many more. Their jean bar is also ridiculously cool and current. Other casual cool finds from brands I love– ALC, Rag & Bone, Vivienne Westwood, Shakuhachi, Addison and Pierre Balmain– are plentiful.

I usually find some great cheap vintage clothes in the back of the store for less than $100 and I recently discovered a new designer named Denham from Amsterdam which was a score of a black blazer I will rock a lot for $250!

I also enjoy the simplicity of this sheath dress (pictured below) by ALC. I would wear it with strappy flat sandals and a huge straw hat that is both chic and guards against the sun.
My other must visit shop is the consignment store Wasteland. There are several locations but my favorite is the one on Melrose because it’s the biggest, and truth be told Chloe Sevigny once told me she drops off her rejects there often! Wasteland has so many awesome deals so I never feel guilty shopping here… it helps me rationalize the big ticket items. Also, one of my style signatures is mixing somewhat dated pieces with new ones for unique and unusual combinations. Although one must be on the hunt to find good pieces at Wasteland, you can find practically new digs for a fraction of the cost. I scored items from labels like Isabel Marant, Marni, the Row, and Commes des Garcons one day!
