STAY: An Inn in a medieval Swiss village

Swiss Alps CullySwiss Alps LavauxSwiss Alps CullySwiss Alps CullyL'Auberge de la RaisinOne of the highlights of our Swiss adventures was hiking through the vineyards of Lavaux (a UNESCO heritage sight).  We spent the afternoon walking through vineyards and medieval towns bordering Lake Geneva with fantastic views of the Alps.  One of our happiest discoveries was the village of Cully and the L’Auberge du Raisin, an auberge (inn) we dashed into when it began to rain, located in the center of the village.  What a delightful and cozy inn!  We only had a chocolat chaud (hot chocolate) as we waited for the rain to stop, but let us tell you– the pictures do not do this charming spot justice.  The restaurant gets high marks as well and was very inviting.  Keanu Reeves thought so too– his picture along with some European celebs adorn the wall at reception.  We will be staying here on our next visit to the area!
