An un-love affair with the BRAZILIAN BLOWOUT by Mary
So we never really write bad reviews about places or things but I feel it is my duty as a wavy haired person who loves her waves to warn you ladies thinking about spending money on the Brazilian Blowout. It is true, the "Brazilian" is all the rage with hairstylists at the moment and for people with thick, "unruly" hair that love a poker straight hairstyle, this is for you.
However, for anyone who loves their curls, wave, body and has fine hair-- do not do it!! I did a JV version (the product goes on your hair, is blow dried and then flat ironed-- normally 6 times or so and we only went over it with a flat iron once in the hopes that it would still leave me with waves and body, just no frizz). Well, the JV version did not work and I am feeling like an unsexy pinhead with no curls or volume! And the burn is that it lasts for at least a month or so and there is no real solution other than washing, washing, washing the hair.... and it's expensive.
So, I have fired my warning shot over the bow, ladies. If anyone has any tips for moving my pinhead look along faster, please do your good deed for the day and write in. Thank you!
