Banana Ice Cream. Guilt free! And how to manage the growing bump and bust...
As I shared last week, I am pregnant! 6 months and really starting to feel and look pregnant. I have had to reshuffle my closet so that the stretchy, flowy items are within reach and anything with a waist or fitted up top is banished to the dark recesses... for now.
I also have had to go and buy all new bras. I literally have gone up three cup sizes which is exciting on the one hand and a pain in the ass on the other. The Gap was a great stop for me over the weekend-- their little bralettes are comfortable and cheap and come in lots of fun colors. I also got one of their t-shirt bras, which are inexpensive and pretty with some lace detailing on the front and sides.
And everyone asks if I have any cravings or repulsions. The only weirdness for me is an aversion to carrots-- an innocuous veg that I normally like a lot. I also have been having lusty cravings for baked goods and sweetness in general-- from a cinnamon bun to pineapple to my latest fantastically delicious and healthy frozen sweet treat! "Guilt Free Banana Ice Cream." And by the way, I justify my more liberal allotment of sweets these days as a fair trade off for the sugars I normally consume from wine!! Fair and square.
So I discovered this amazingness on Pinterest (another obsession! Especially as I am in full blown nesting mode and wanting to redecorate my entire house-- more on that to come). With only two ingredients-- frozen bananas and peanut butter (I subbed almond butter), this is an easy, delicious and healthy dessert! The recipe and photos are from the blog Two Peas and Their Pod:
What cravings are you all having?? Any good recipes to share?
