Food and Fashion in San Francisco!

San Francisco is often compared to other US cities-- "a smaller, more manageable, more pleasant NYC," "sooo different from LA," "better weather than Chicago," and so on. San Francisco is not New York, is not LA, is not Chicago. San Francisco is a city full of foodies, beautiful architecture, natural beauty, intellect, athletes and easy access to Sonoma, the bucolic Mill Valley and surrounding environs. Dinner and drinks at Spruce in the tony Presidio Heights neighborhood, is a must for the best burger in the swankest of settings. The dim lighting, black walls adorned with modern art and soaring ceilings are the ultimate backdrop for dinner or a cocktail-- we stand by their mojito with vodka, a.k.a. a caprioska.
The next morning while waiting for a table at Ella's, the best brunch spot in the city and worth the wait, we wandered next door to check out Eel & Ermine. What a happy surprise! Chatting with the modelesque Evelyne, one half of the design duo and the brand, we walked out with a perfect new party dress (which Evelyne shortened while we were breakfasting) and the promise that Evelyne will guest blog for us on her native Novia Scotia! Stay tuned.
Don't miss the chicken hash with eggs at Ella's and the pecan sticky bun-- rather a wonder to still be able to fit into the new party dress!
