Be Delicious: BESTIA is hands down the best restaurant in LA
Dinner last night at the tucked away (read: get good directions before you set out for this hidden gem downtown!) new hot spot Bestia, was one of the best all around dining experiences I have had in a loooong time. The decor is spot on sexy but still inviting and cozy with re-purposed industrial parts outfitted as lovely chandeliers that look like flowers, wood booths, huge windows-- chic and minimalist, yet also not over the top loud how so many modern design restaurants are these days.
And the food. Oh my. Oh my. Oh my. I can't wait to go back to try more but the stand outs from last night were the chicken liver crostini (and I hate liver and pate), truffle pizza, Cavatelli alla Norcina- a pasta with pork sausage and truffles, and a tagliolini pasta with mushrooms and nettles. The donuts and coffee ice cream for dessert are not to be missed. The only thing we had we didn't love was the octopus carpaccio... Cocktails were sublime and their rose by the glass is bubbly- so festive!
I'm obsessed and can't wait for my next trip downtown so I can return to Bestia. xoxo
