from top left going counterclockwise: Before!; Mary starts a french braid taking little extra pieces of hair from each side as she braids; at this point Mary starts dropping little pieces of hair down called a "waterfall" braid; Mary secures this braid with a tiny elastic.
from top left going counterclockwise: first braid done- could pin it up at this point if you wanted; Mary begins another french braid; french braids and secures with elastic.
from top left going counterclockwise: Mary bobbypins the left side; pulls top left piece down over that piece and secures with bobbypin; joins the first two braids together with a bobby pin; one last braid going from the left side.
from top left going counterclockwise: the last braid is bobbypinned under the first two; Mary playing with and tucking the hair under and securing with bobbypins; hairspray!; the products you'll need-- hairspray, pomade, oil for shine and smoothing, bobbypins and tiny elastics.
