Dry Tour opens in Venice!
The corner of Windward and Pacific in Venice, just a block from the boardwalk has been begging for a cool spot for ages. Happily Dry Tour, a sophisticated yet relaxed wine and beer bar with a full menu just opened last weekend. Breathing new life into the 108 year old building, Jessica Zacholl and Aaron Turnbull were respectful of the history and architecture (thank you that somebody is in southern Cali!) and the space feels sleek and modern while maintaining the soaring groined ceilings, tiled floors and gigantic windows of a bygone era. The wine list showcases wines from around the world and while you may try and love wines you've never heard of like a crisp white called Poship from Croatia, they have something for every palate recognizing that people's tastebuds are not trendy... thank you from two girls who love an oaky chardonnay! They also have draft and bottle beers and a food menu featuring paninis, cheese and charcuterie plates and more. And for those of you in search of a hip spot to watch the game, they do have a TV.
