Buy sophisticated treasures from around the world online and in LA this week at the INDAGARE Souk!
Indagare, a website dedicated to sophisticated travel, is one of our go to resources for trip planning. Started and run by Melissa Biggs Bradley, the former editor of Town & Country magazine, Indagare is a members only resource for discerning travelers. In addition to reviews on hotels, itineraries and inspiration for globe trotting, Melissa started an online shop filled with treasures found in the markets and tiny boutiques in the farthest corners of the world. She also has held "souks" in several cities that have been met with a frenzy of success.
Melissa shares the rush she gets from finding something beautiful in far flung places:
“A few years ago, I noticed that my real shopping thrills came when I unearthed treasures in the markets of small towns in Peru or Brazil or in the bazaar in Cairo or Marrakech or in little boutiques in Asia or Europe, where artisans were making one-of-a-kind accessories or fashion or object."
Angelenos, it's your lucky week! The Indagare Souk is coming to Beverly Hills for the first time ever this Tuesday, April 12th through Wednesday, April 13th. From 12pm-8pm, browse beaded jewelry from Rwanda, silk scarves from Cambodia, leather bags from Argentina at the Peninsula Hotel. A lot of the brands in the souk are dedicated to giving back to the communities where the products are made, like Shompole, which supports 120 villagers in Kenya.
Now we can all find souvenirs from places we've been and aspire to go...
