Favorite new restaurant in West Hollywood with a new outpost in the Palisades-- we toast TASTE

We have had lunch at Taste several times but just visited for dinner for the first time last week after dropping by an intimate party at the Temperley store on Melrose Place (which we will write about next week).  The ambient setting is chic and minimalist, the service friendly and knowledgeable without being overbearing and the food and wine were delicious (and inexpensive!).  Our favorite new dish ever, is the Sugar Snap Pasta with Black Tiger Shrimp.  The combination of mint pesto, sweet corn, arugula and parmigiano-reggiano cheese is absurd.  We could eat it every night.  And the chocolate bread pudding for dessert was worth it.  Their wine list has an assortment of great choices at reasonable price points-- we chose a bottle of the Argentine Malbec.  We can't wait to try the new Palisades outpost!
