Happy 4th of July!! Our favorites from the weekend- drinks, coffee, enchanted gardens, pasta and what to wear....
It has been an action packed, beautiful 4th of July weekend! Another sunny day of festivities await, but we wanted to share a few of our favorite finds (new and old) from the weekend thus far to get you inspired....
We kicked off the holiday weekend over lunch at the Chateau Marmont in the loveliest garden in all of LA. Their chopped salads and french fries are a perfect balance and maybe too well complimented by the Whispering Angel rose! We love the Chateau as an oasis of calm and old school glamour in the heart of West Hollywood.
To get the our mornings going and as a pick me up in the afternoon, we were happy to meet Sophie, an artist who makes her own coffee-- 3% Coffee. We enjoyed a jelly jar of the very potent coconut infused coffee- be on the look out for her coffee cart in Venice.
Vincenzo is an Italian restaurant with Chef Vincenzo Nicoletta at the helm. He has been turning out authentic Italian delights for years and somehow we've managed not to find our way in. Now this cozy, quiet spot on Montana Ave. in Santa Monica has been discovered by us!! The Spaghetti Vincenzo is one of the best pastas we've ever had -- spaghetti with chopped grilled shrimp, capers in a pink sauce (just the right balance of tomato and a little cream). Heaven!
What to wear when racing around town (sometimes on a bike)? A romper is a fantastic solution. Cute as a sundress and you won't wind up flashing friends and strangers on your bike or sitting on blankets for BBQs and fireworks. Intermix is a store we never walk out of empty handed and lo and behold, we found this hot little romper there!
Have a fabulous and safe 4th!! xox
