Jetsetter Style: Part Two: Secrets of a Stylist! Shopping in West Hollywood with Daria.
Daria has been working as a stylist for over a decade. She divides her time between her two favorite cities: Los Angeles and New York. Last week we tagged along to two of her favorite stores in Hollywood and this week we're getting the inside scoop on where to shop in West Hollywood!
I always enjoy smaller boutiques for the more intimate shopping experience and to support them, especially when the buyer/owner has a keen eye like at Creatures of Comfort (7971 Melrose Ave ). Creatures of Comfort stocks unique pieces from designers such as APC, Isabel Marant, Rachel Comey, MM6, Wood Wood, Christian Wjinants, Patrick Rivel, A detacher, and their own line called Hope. I especially love their selection of shoes and handbags.
These super cool boots are from LD Tuttle . Perfect for summer with shorts and dresses!
My next stop is TenOve Six ( 8425 Melrose Avenue) the creation of stylist Brady Cunningham. The store layout is absolutely inspiring in so many ways for any stylist, designer, or anyone who is aesthetically inclined.
More a destination than just a store, I have found more unusual pieces here than probably any other store in Los Angeles. Brady fills the racks and shelves with shoes from Dieppa Restrepo, Angela Scott, Jenni Kayne, Philip Kim, Vena Cava and clothing from Suno, Robedjer, Jesse Kamm, and Wren. I find one of a kind pieces here and it’s also a great gift place for your friends-- especially the ones who already have everything.
After boutique shopping I head over to the famous Opening Ceremony (451 N. La Cienega Blvd.). No fashion guru is skipping this place. The label whore of a store in West Hollywood is super fabulous. I feel lucky that I know many of the staff here to clue me in on any new labels and sales they are having because this is really a shopper's fantasy store! I come in for inspiration and design ideas for my shoots, an occasional splurge, and to check out the insane designs of Rodarte and Porenza Schuler among other big designers represented at this museum of a store.

This amazing Altuzarra jacket is so gorgeous. I would wait for it to go on sale as it’s a bit pricey. I love the details and the cut as well as the texture with the leather.
The best investment I made this Spring was getting a black Proenza Schouler PS One bag. Of course now I want to buy a smaller version in a bright color. Great for music festivals….
Next week Daria is taking us to the hip, happening and oh so current Echo Parkand Silverlake neighborhoods!
