Travel planning Websites we use when planning a trip
We started this blog as we couldn't find a completely reliable travel authority-- how do we know who is writing reviews, recommending hotels and if our tastes match theirs. We still use several sites as tools when planning a trip-- and cross reference them with each other! Here they are:
FLY
When purchasing airline tickets all of the discount websites (Expedia, Travelocity, Orbitz) all offer the same "deals." There are two new sites we've been made aware of thanks to Travel & Leisure magazine that we'll use when traveling in Australia and Europe:
www.wotflight.com -- for best flight deals in Australia
www.zugu.co.uk -- for best deals in Europe
ITINERARY
It can feel overwhelming when visiting a new part of the world or country-- we often feel like we want to see everything which is impossible. To help focus us, we often rely on Frommer's. We think it's the best of the true "travel guides" and their website is easy to navigate. Also like their hotel rating system and often agree with their picks and pans.
HOTELS
Two sites we love that feature cool hotels and at reduced rates are Tablet Hotels and Agoda. We also just stumbled upon a cool looking site called Been-Seen. Once you've narrowed down your choices, we like to check out Trip Advisor although you never know who the people are who submit reviews, it can be helpful to look at the pictures and get some sort of sense....
PACK
We love Flight 001 for all of our packing essentials.
Bon Voyage!!
