Unexpected health & wellness tips & products from HERBALIFE on a roadtrip....

Happy Mother's Day!!  On our way down to La Jolla, CA where we have been with our mother for the weekend (full report tomorrow!), we stopped off in San Juan Capistrano for gas and a snack.  What caught our eye was a gigantic "Bakery and Cafe" sign on the side of the road.  We pulled over and luckily for our figures the bakery was closed...  Seeing two women with delicious looking smoothies, we were pointed to a store front beside the closed Bakery.

Walking in, we were slightly confused.  There was a menu of smoothies, but no prices, and the space seemed more like an office than a smoothie shop.  Immediately we were greeted by two people behind the counter who started running us through what we'd be getting-- an aloe vera shot, an energizing iced tea and a protein packed/fat burning smoothie!  Okaaay.  We were then introduced to our "coach" who told us the benefits of aloe vera -- cures heartburn and is altogether extremely soothing and healing for the digestive tract.  She then said that Herbalife products had changed her life (aaah, getting what was happening a little bit by now), she'd lost 30 pounds on their products, etc.  She then jumped into the energizing iced tea -- we tried peach and lemon and they were actually delicious, not sweet and after drinking the whole thing over the next hour, we were certainly peppy, but not wired and felt delightful!  With our iced teas on the counter, the smoothie was then addressed-- what flavor to choose?  We chose peanut butter.  All of the smoothies are "packed" with protein (protein powder).  The whole "program" is 280 calories.  Nervous we were going to be charged some large fee or be strongarmed to sign up for the Herbalife program, we were relieved and happy to hear that your first time is free!  We left with a catalog and each with an iced tea and smoothie.  The smoothie was good but definitely had a little bit of that chemical aftertaste....  The tea was really good as we mentioned and we loved it-- will be contacting Annette, "our coach," to order some.  Think we'll also order some aloe vera juice.

Anyway, email Annette (our coach), who was very knowledgeable and not pushy at all-- she's been doing this for 13 years, for free "diet sample package."  Her email is agold2006@gmail.com.

Here's to being energized and healthy!
