A new school year means a regular schedule which feels both relieving and challenging. How I am easing into the Fall with as much grace, ease and JOY. xox, Mary

What's working for me...
With the back to school energy that permeates September, there is a feeling of resetting for me. It's more like a "new year" than January 1. It is also delightfully warm and sunny in Santa Barbara which makes it still feel like summer in a lot of ways-- softening the undercurrent of getting back to business by meeting friends on the beach for an evening swim and beach days with the kids on the weekends.
As I've shared before, I have a Morning Meeting practice which I've done for ages. A way to set my energy for the day, reflect and have the best day yet! My practice was feeling a bit stale so I read a new old book-- new to me yet published over a decade ago. The Code of the Extraordinary Mind, written by Vishen Lakhiani, the founder of Mindvalley, has helpful reminders and a 6 step meditation/energy setting/manifesting process that I have been working with the last few weeks. I've found it helpful and noticed a shift in my thinking, energy and been pleasantly surprised by synchronicities and opportunities popping up!
I also have been a meditator for much of my adult life. Dr Joe Dispenza is a friend and an inspiration who is a passionate researcher and a teacher who truly walks his walk. I have been loving his Generating Flow meditation in the afternoons before school pick up or segueing into the social part of my day. It's only 15 minutes - short and powerful.
Finally, anyone else with the tickle in their throat thanks to all of the plants and flowers blooming?! I have had it for a few weeks and the last couple days it is GONE thanks to this easy remedy: cut up about an inch of ginger root and boil for about 10 minutes on a low boil. Pour into a mug and add a tablespoon full of LOCAL honey (it must be local or it won't work) and drink. Magic!
Sending love and happy September energy to you all,
