We had a real adventure traveling for two weeks with our kids who range in age from 4 to 11! Our first stop was the medieval town of Orvieto in Umbria. A "rose" of the trip for all ages... here are our snaps and highlights. xoxo

There are so many charming historic hilltop towns to explore in Italy. We happily stumbled upon Orvieto and adored it! Our hotel, Pietra Campana, was a charming yet dialed in boutique property on a hillside just opposite the historic town and famous Duomo (cathedral) which offered fantastic views, a stunning pool and respite from the hot yet charming city streets. Their breakfast buffet (included in the room rate) was ample and varied with fresh fruit, pastries, eggs, yogurts and meats and the dinner was sublime! The freshest pastas that were beloved by everyone in our group as you can see above. Wine by the pool and a swim in the evenings was a perfect way to cool down after adventuring in town. We will be back to this gem of a place!
