New Favorite Hike in LA - The Ray Miller Trail!

Seven days climbing Kilimanjaro made me even more appreciative of how much I value being in nature.  There are several hikes that we frequent in LA, but on my first weekend adjusting back to life at home, I wanted to do something longer, different, and more in the elements.  The Ray Miller loop may be my new favorite hike. The  7.8 mile trail starts slightly farther up the PCH,  just before Point Magu, and inludes stunning views of the Pacific, fields of grasses and wild flowers, and fire roads that you can explore for miles. I love this escape into nature with nothing man made in sight!

And on your way back into civilization, there are so many places to stop in Malibu to reward yourself for all of your efforts.  Our new favorite yang to the yin of the hike is Nobu on Carbon Beach.  During the day/early eve, the bar and beachfront deck are casual and the cocktails and fare are top notch!  You deserve it after those 7.8 miles.
