Jennifer Miller of her namesake jewels on where to get away (and warm) for the holidays!

Jennifer Miller Jewelry
Next week we'll be stopping by the Peninsula in Beverly Hills for a little Christmas shopping...  for ourselves and others!  Jennifer Miller Jewelry is having a trunk show and all for a very good cause.  Jennifer Miller Jewelry believes in giving back and they are therefore partnering with St. Vincent Meals On Wheels for this exciting holiday event. In 2011, SVMOW delivered over 1.1 million life-saving meals to homebound elderly and other vulnerable residents within a 43-square mile target area around Los Angeles, making it the largest Meals on Wheels program in the United States. This amazing and worthwhile charity will receive 10% of the total proceeds from the show.   We hope to see you all there!
WHEN: Wednesday, November 28 through Thursday, November 29
WHERE: The Peninsula Beverly Hills, 9882 Santa Monica Boulevard
HOURS: 10 am - 7 pm, November 28th & 29th
In the meantime as you're planning or fantasizing about a winter getaway, we asked Jennifer where she goes to recuperate after the holidays.....
Jennifer says:
ZIHUATANEJO!
Casa Que Canta
Once Christmas Eve hits and I am comfortable that Santa has successfully delivered all of our gorgeous jewels around the country, my husband Mark, Goobers (our dog) and I leave for our annual getaway to Zihuatanejo, Mexico. We travel with dear friends to this magical paradise every year to soak up the sunshine, views and local color. Unlike many other resorts, Zihuatanejo is all about relaxing and enjoying the place you are in. The people are so welcoming and friendly that you feel immediately at home. If you have never been to Zihuatanejo, I encourage everyone to go. I get inspired each time I visit by the vibrant flowers and the glorious, earth tones of the mountains and architecture.
STAY
We stay at Hotel Casa Que Canta, a small, romantic property whose attention to detail is rivaled by few other hotels I have ever stayed in. The hotel is extremely private and lends itself to a truly relaxing holiday.
EAT
Fresh fish is available every morning in the village so we often stay in and cook with the amazing local abundance.
La Sirena Gorda, Sharky’s and Carmelita’s Café are our favorites when we go out. All three of these restaurants serve incredible local dishes. I am ecstatic as long as I have a bowl of guacamole next to me at breakfast, lunch and dinner. For me, the simpler the better: fresh avocado, lime and sea salt accompanied by crunchy, homemade tortillas and my vacation dreams are complete.
DO
Every New Years Eve, we participate in the turtle release program at sunset. The whole village stands in two lines facing each other and makes sure that the baby sea turtles race toward the ocean with the moonlight guiding them. It is such a unique experience to be a part of and an incredible way to usher in a new year!
