Jetsetter Style: Part 3: Secrets of a Stylist! Daria takes us shopping in Echo Park & Silver Lake in LA.

Daria has been working as a stylist for over a decade. She divides her time between her two favorite cities: Los Angeles and New York.  Last week we tagged along to some of her favorite haunts in West Hollywood, and this week we're getting the inside scoop on where to shop on the hip Eastside!

I head east to Echo Park where all the hipsters live. Tucked away in this adorable part of town is a strip of cool stores. I love Tavin (1543  Echo Park Ave) for vintage bohemian digs. A critical stop for me for summer clothes, I always leave this place with a bunch of adorable smocks, shoes and super cute dresses-- and all reasonably priced! Perfect for travels to foreign lands or beach trips. Owner Erin Tavin ( pictured below) will even track down hard to find pieces upon request.

My adorable pregnant assistant Katie (pictured below), discovered this store and lives up the street. She scored this cute smock dress that Erin put aside for her.

My last stop is Mohawk (4011 West  Sunset Blvd in Silver Lake). Owned by two couples that are always sharply dressed, their tomboy collection for women and hip assortment of men's goods draws a huge crowd. I love the bags from Want Les Essentiels De La Vie (below right) and the Marie Turnor lunchbag purses (below left).

These Ancient Greek sandals are to die for.

I also love their accessories and the layout of the store is an easy read for fast maneuvering...

Next week Daria shares tips for how to update pieces you already own and how to make inexpensive finds from favorite stores like Zara and H & M look high end....
