"Sorcerer's Apprentice" opens AND a cool necklace to support the Cura Orphanage in Kenya

Our friend Jon Turteltaub's "The Sorcerer's Apprentice" opened this week with a premiere on the Disney lot that was all about raising money for one of the charities we are most passionate about-- the Cura Orphanage in Kenya which is home to 50 children between the ages of 4-13 who have lost their parents to AIDS.  Cura is run by good friend and wife of Jon, Amy Eldon-Turteltaub's father.  The evening was about celebrating the delightful "Sorcerer's Apprentice" which is full of the most incredible special effects, magic and Nic Cage (with gorgeous flowing locks!) battling evil so that good may prevail, and raising funds to build Cura a school.  In addition to the tickets that were sold and items that were auctioned off for the cause, another good friend (we are blessed by smart, beautiful friends), jewelry designer Melinda Maria designed a gold necklace for Cura that was sold at the event and you can now purchase!!  We both have been proudly sporting ours since the premiere.  So two things you must do this weekend:

1. go see "Sorcerer's Apprentice"

2. buy a Cura necklace!!  For yourself, your loved ones-- help build these kids a school.

The necklaces will be up on Melinda's site www.melindamaria.com in the next few weeks, but for now, please contact her customer service department at:
