Thank You For Supporting InsideOut Writers!

Thank you to everyone who came out to support InsideOut writers last night!  It means the world to me as this organization is close to my heart.  For those of you that couldn't make it and want to find out more please check out our website: www.insideoutwriters.org. IOW sends journalists, screenwriters, poets, and teachers into the juvenile halls within Los Angeles in order to help these kids channel their aggression into something positive through the process of writing. We've recently started the Alumni Program, which helps the kids stay out once they have been released by matching them with mentors and case managers, continuing the writing classes, and offering life skills classes.  Three of our Alumni shared their stories last night.  Thank you Jimmy, Prophet and Esche - you were all eloquent and inspiring!
