The Beach: our Harbour Island uniform. Bikinis, cover-ups and flip flops.

One of the best parts of being on Harbour Island, Bahamas is spending the day in our bathing suits, flowy coverups and being barefoot or in flip flops.

We discovered Shimmi bikinis on sale last winter in East Hampton and they have become our favorite suits.  The bright colored bikinis are well made and sexy yet will stay put while surfing and swimming.  Scarlett Chorvat and Alison Renner are former models behind the line that is for women who are the, "barefoot hippie, the Louboutin-clad power stylista, and the girl who thinks it’s only fair that she can be both...  women who exude confidence, radiate sex appeal without going over the top, and for women who can sit poolside at an A-List party one day and for a surf lesson with her best friend the next."  These cute suits can be expensive so hopefully you'll luck out like we did and find them on sale....  We found some on sale at shopbop.com and some not at netaporter.com.

We find our coverups in all sorts of shops and price points.  One line we are loving right now is Echo.  Stylish and inexpensive, these coverups are perfect for throwing on over a bikini for lunch and doing our errands around town in the golf cart....

Our favorite shop on the island is the Sugar Mill.  Owned and curated by former model and role model India Hicks, we want everything in the store!  Each item has the essence of bohemian, beach glamour.  These Sugar Mill exclusive sandals are so comfortable and chic!  Wear them with jeans and a blazer or with an evening dress as India suggests.
