Point Reyes, CA in pictures

Point Reyes National Seashore is nothing short of breathtaking.  Don't miss the historic lighthouse, built in 1870.  It is now a museum that is run by the National Park Service.  There are numerous amazing hikes to enjoy. Try the short hike down to McClure's Beach and for something longer try the Limatour Loop.  Just driving to your hike is beautiful.

To fuel up there are several cozy spots in Point Reyes Station that all serve fresh, local and sustainably-produced cuisine.  Stelina is the fanciest of them with an inventive Italian menu.  Station House Cafe has delectable steamers and fish & chips that they're happy to serve at the bar if you find yourself starving after a hike (like we were!) and in between lunch and dinner hours.   Cafe Reyes, known for its delicious wood fire pizzas, has a great outdoor seating area. If you want to pick up gourmet organic cheeses, soups, salads, sandwiches, and cookies visit the Cowgirl Creamery - you won't be disappointed by anything you get there.  We've written about Nick's Cove several times and absolutely love it there. If you can't stay for a night definitely try to stop off for lunch or dinner.  They are famous for their barbequed oysters....
